... reveals itself slowly

In South Luangwa, the winding river shapes a landscape of open plains, lagoons, woodland and dense bush. Further south, along the Lower Zambezi, the scenery changes — tall winter thorn trees rise above the floodplain, with the river and distant escarpment never far away. Two very different landscapes, connected by the same sense of wildness and by moments that often reveal themselves only when you take the time to look.

Along the river

 

The river brings another kind of space into the sequence: open water, reflections and light reaching across the banks. After the enclosed woodland, the view opens again, with room for quieter encounters along the edge.
