Beyond the individual photograph

Some places stay with you long after the journey ends. Stories are a way of returning to them — through photographs, memories and the moments in between. Not as a complete record of a journey, but as the experiences that shaped the way I see and photograph the natural world.

Where it all began

My first journey to Africa. Three weeks through Namibia — from the dunes of the Namib to the wildlife of Etosha — and the beginning of a connection that would shape much of what followed.
